For the Love Of: Joseph Gordon-Levitt

His kiddyish charm has landed Joe (as he refers to himself on HitRECord) on the For the Love Of list.

We watched him rise from 3rd Planet From The Sun, oh was he so cute, to the recent release 50/50, which I am yet to see. Among his many works was his Golden Globe nominated role in 500 Days Of Summer.

Dear, I wish I was Summer. The scene where he TELLs her that they’re dating after his bar-fight is one of my favourites. Right after his drunken karaoke stint though. Don’t you just love his dimple?

I’m glad that he’s not one of the child stars who vanished after their premature fame. I’m keen to catch 50/50 as soon as it comes out in our movie houses.

Talk That Talk

Talk That Talk is the sixth studio album from Barbadian beauty Rihanna and I have to say, “Dadadadadaa – I’m loving it.”

The tracks are upbeat and she’s no longer singing dark songs haunted by her relationship with Chris Brown (We Found Love could be an exception to this, though). She has produced a number of hits and it surprised me to learn that some of these songs were recorded in hotel rooms! Yeah, you heard me.

Some criticism I would give on the album is that Rihanna barely has any emotion in her voice. It seems like she just sings to the beat more than because she enjoys it. Nonetheless, WE enjoy her music so I’m not complaining.

Here’s looking forward to the next one.

For the Love Of: Rihanna

Recently crowned Esquire’s Sexiest Woman Alive, Rihanna added that to her many achievements this year.

Of course, she’s drop-dead gorgeous and her music has had us dancing the whole year. So I think she deserved the title.

However, we all noticed that her love interest in We Found Love looks a lot like ex-beau Chris Brown. Here’s what the 23 year old had to say about him:

“It’s incredible to see how he pulled out of it the way he did. Even when the world seemed like it was against him, you know? I really like the music he’s putting out. I’m a fan of his stuff. I’ve always been a fan. Obviously, I had some resentment toward him for a while, for obvious reasons. But I’ve put that behind me. It was taking up too much of my time. It was too much anger. I’m really excited to see the breakthrough he’s had in his career. I would never wish anything horrible for him. Never. I never have.”

It’s been long enough, she should just let it be now and stop provoking the reactions that everyone has. What are your thoughts?

For the Love Of: Kimora Lee Simmons

She’s “A mogul, a model and a mom.” And Kimora Lee-Simmons is – as she would say – fabulous at what what she does.

Her extroverted personality makes us love Kimora even more because she’s not afraid to say what we are thinking. Quite frankly, she makes me want to marry an Asian guy if our babies are going to come out like that! Okay, maybe I’m taking it too far there.

And aren’t her girls, Ming and Aoki, just the prettiest? Let’s hope Kenzo grows up with the gene in him. Djimon and those little tots are pretty lucky.

Breaking Dawn: Part One

You can imagine the excitement that has been building up to the release of the fourth installment in the Twilight Saga. It brought me so much joy to learn that it premiering on Wednesday (the 16th of November) meant that it came to us South Africans before it was released in Hollywood.

Someone say “Booyaa!”. My friend booked tickets for us to go watch it tomorrow afternoon cause they were selling like hot cakes. I hope its as good as I anticipate it to be!

Don’t you just hate reading a book then watching the film adaptation to find that they didn’t do the author justice? But, judging by the success of the last three movies, it’s bound to be good. I mean, its got Robert Pattinson in it! Yes, I’m on Team Edward. Got a problem? Jacob freaking imprints on the baby! I can’t hate him though because they have Taylor Lautner playing the part. Lucky Lily Collins!
